Olympiad on Oral Hygiene and Disease Prevention

On April 8, 2026, an Olympiad on oral hygiene and prevention of dental diseases was held at RMU for students of the 5th, 6th, 8th, and 10th semesters under the supervision of Dr. Anum Shamim.

The aim of the event was to deepen students’ knowledge and develop practical skills in the field of oral disease prevention, as well as to foster a healthy competitive environment.

As part of the Olympiad, an interactive quiz was conducted on the Kahoot platform, and a presentation of 3D models illustrating various aspects of oral hygiene and disease prevention was organized. Students worked in teams, independently selecting topics for their presentations.

The evaluation was carried out based on the following criteria: quiz results, quality of model presentations, level of theoretical knowledge, confidence in presentation, and communication skills. The jury consisted of leading faculty members and representatives of the university’s clinical departments.

According to the results of the Olympiad, the prize-winning places were distributed as follows:
1st place — team “Corona and Cardio” (10th semester);
2nd place — team “Hygiene Heroes” (6th semester);
3rd place — team “Dental Dynamos” (8th semester).

The event was attended by representatives of the university administration, including the Rector Alymkulov M.Ch., vice-rectors, the dean, and heads of structural divisions.

The Olympiad received high praise from both guests and participants. Students were awarded certificates and recognized for their active participation and high level of preparation.

The event contributed to increasing students’ professional motivation, developing teamwork skills, and strengthening the academic environment. The Olympiad concluded with an award ceremony.
