Explanatory event for students about the legislation on face-covering clothing

On November 21, 2025, an event was held at Roel Metropolitan University for students of semesters 1-10 on legislation on the wearing of clothing that completely hides the face (niqab, burqa), which is important for maintaining public safety.

* Students were given an explanation of article 127-1 of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic, which prohibits the wearing of face-concealing clothing in government institutions and public places.

* An official notification has been sent to all students from the university administration on compliance with the requirements of the law.

* Results: students are familiar with the legislation and have received the necessary information.

The event helped to raise students’ awareness of the law and its importance for maintaining public safety, as well as consolidate knowledge about the rules of conduct in government institutions and public places.
