The educational institution “Roel Metropolitan University” was established in Kyrgyzstan in 2019 with the aim of providing quality education in the field of medicine and healthcare. The initiative to establish the university was supported by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and international partners, ensuring high standards of education and infrastructure.
“Royal Metropolitan University” is a private educational organization created to carry out educational, scientific, cultural, and social activities. As a legal entity, the university has an independent balance sheet, bank accounts (including foreign currency accounts), a seal with its name, a stamp, letterheads, an emblem, and other attributes. It also owns its separate property and has the right to manage it independently within the framework and limits established by the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, its Charter, and founding documents.
The university operates as an independent entity based on full commercial accounting, self-financing, and self-sufficiency, conducting its own educational, scientific, and financial-economic activities.
Our mission: “To prepare medical professionals for intercultural interaction through the integration of advanced scientific knowledge, innovations, and high standards of practice to improve the quality of life.”
The university aims to become a center of innovation and scientific research in the field of medicine, contributing to the improvement of public health in Kyrgyzstan and beyond.
Since its foundation, the university has gone through several key stages:
- Foundation Stage (2018-2019):
Development of the concept, engagement of experts and partners, creation of academic programs, and formation of the staff. - Registration and Licensing (2019-2020):
The university obtained a state license for educational activities, enabling it to begin enrolling students in medical specialties. - Infrastructure Development (2019-2024):
Establishment of a modern educational and research base, including academic buildings, laboratories, libraries, and dormitories for students.
Currently, “Royal Metropolitan University” offers specialization programs in “General Medicine” and “Dentistry.” The academic programs are developed in compliance with state standards and draw upon the experience of leading international medical schools.
The university’s teaching staff includes experienced professors and practicing physicians not only from Kyrgyzstan but also from abroad, ensuring a high level of student preparation.
The university actively collaborates with international educational and medical institutions, participates in scientific conferences, and engages in exchange programs. This enables students and faculty to exchange experiences and knowledge while integrating advanced methods and technologies into the educational process.
In 2023, the university successfully passed international program accreditation in the specialty “General Medicine,” confirming its compliance with the quality standards of higher professional education and expanding its opportunities for international cooperation with medical organizations and global recognition of its diploma.
