About the Department

The Department ofNatural Sciences and Humanities of the EI “RMU” is one ofthe most
important structural divisions ofthe university, providing fundamental training for students in key
disciplines necessary for successful mastering ofthe medical profession.

Objectives of the Department

The main goal of the department:

To provide students with knowledge and skills in the field of natural sciences and
humanities, which creates a basis for further education and professional activity in the medical
field.

Educational tasks of the department:

  1. Ensuring a high-quality educational process aimed at developing in students a deep
    understanding of the relationship between the humanities and natural sciences, as well as
    their key role in medical practice.
  2. Development and implementation of educational programs, courses and seminars that take
    into account the specifics of medical education and are adapted to modern requirements.
    The programs include both humanities and natural sciences, forming a holistic perception
    ofthe future profession.
  3. Implementation of innovative teaching methods focused on the relevance of the
    educational process. We use modern educational technologies and interactive approaches
    that promote active acquisition of knowledge and practical skills by students.
  4. Development of critical thinking and communication skills in students, as well as instilling
    ethical principles and norms of professional ethics, which is an integral part of medical
    practice.
  5. Active participation in research activities aimed at deepening knowledge in the
    humanitarian and natural science aspects of medicine. This allows students not only to
    expand their theoretical knowledge, but also to apply it in practice.
  6. Cooperation with other departments to ensure a comprehensive and interdisciplinary
    approach to teaching, which contributes to the harmonious development of students’
    professional competencies.
  7. Emphasis on interactive forms oflearning: discussions, group work and independent study
    ofthe material help students better absorb information and apply it in practical activities.

Creative approach:

Active implementation of methods that develop creativity and innovative
thinking.

Research:

Students are encouraged to participate in research projects, studies and conferences,
which contributes to their professional growth and broadening oftheir scientific horizons.
